Cincinnati diners looking for a special evening out have a new date to consider in November.

Wildweed, the pasta-focused restaurant in Over-the-Rhine, plans to welcome visiting chef Gus Stieffenhofer-Brandson for a one-night collaboration on November 9.

Stieffenhofer-Brandson leads the kitchen at Published on Main in Vancouver, British Columbia, a restaurant recognized with a Michelin star.

He will work alongside Wildweed chef David Jackman and the local restaurant team.

The planned menu includes a collaborative tasting experience at the Chef’s Counter, with additional à la carte options in the dining room.

The evening brings together two chefs with an unusually personal connection.

Both grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and their careers later took them to the West Coast, where they worked together on previous projects.

That shared background gives the chef collaboration dinner a connection beyond a typical visiting-chef appearance.

Published on Main has received significant restaurant-industry recognition, including placement on major Canadian and North American dining lists.

Wildweed has also attracted attention for its cooking, including a One to Watch distinction earlier this year.

For local food enthusiasts, the pairing offers a chance to experience two culinary perspectives in one Cincinnati restaurant.

The event also highlights the growing reach of Over-the-Rhine’s independent dining scene.

A special dinner can introduce local diners to chefs whose restaurants would otherwise require a long-distance trip.

Dining-room reservations were announced ahead of the event, with a separate reservation release for the Chef’s Counter.

Interested guests should confirm availability, pricing and the current menu directly with Wildweed before making plans.

The November 9 dinner gives Cincinnati’s restaurant community another opportunity to welcome a visiting culinary voice.
